JAKARTA - Entering the beginning of October, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) officially launched two new electric motorcycles, namely Honda ICON e: and Honda CUV e:

The launch of these two models is the world's first or world premiere, as well as affirming Honda's commitment to presenting environmentally friendly vehicles in the country, as well as a strategy part of the company's electrification and sustainability strategy. Nurmu Mitsuishi, President Director of AHM stated that the launch of these two models further emphasized the company's commitment to expand options for Indonesians who want zero emissions with the best quality, high technology, and provide a pleasant driving experience.

More details, Honda ICON e: and Honda CUV e: designed to meet various user needs, from those who want agility to the durability and resilience of electric motorcycle products. Honda ICON e: is an agile electric motor on the highway and can be charged directly, while Honda CUV e: comes to support high productivity with exchangeable battery systems (swappable batteries) and large battery capacities.

These two new models complement the ranks of Honda electric motors that have previously been present and accompany consumers in Indonesia, namely Honda EM1 e: and EM1 e: Plus, thus providing more flexibility and complete solutions for consumers in choosing charging methods that suit their needs, either through self-filling at home with off-board chargers, direct charging, or battery exchange (swap).

Thomas Wijaya, Executive Vice President Director of AHM, explained that the company has prepared a special network to serve electric motorcycles spread across various cities in Indonesia since the presence of Honda EM1 e:
