JAKARTA - Repeatedly Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 was caught on camera conducting trials and also Husqvarna shared the teaser on social media. Now, Husqvarna has finally confirmed the presence of a larger Svartpilen 801 naked motorbike with a parallel-twin engine for 2024.
The production model will be officially launched on March 19. Previously, Husqvarna had teased the presence of this motorbike through two videos showing this motorcycle prototype in action on flat tracks and frozen lakes (completely with stuck tires).
The official confirmation of the presence of this motorbike along with several details of specifications was given directly by Husqvarna on March 5, along with the latest photos.
"This latest middleweight model is designed to bring strong performance, agility, and modern style to bring the driving experience to a higher level," said Husqvarna's official statement, quoted from MCN, March 6.
"The utilization of Svartpilen 801 is further enhanced by the presence of modern electronic devices to help motorists, including Easy Shift [quickshifter up/down] for smooth dental movement," he continued.
According to Husqvarna, the weight of this motorbike is at 181 kg (not including fluids such as fuel). In terms of energy, Svartpilen 801 is claimed to be able to produce around 102 dk, slightly larger than KTM 790 Duke which has 101 dk of power.
The comparison with KTM 790 Duke was made because these two motorbikes were both under the auspices of the Pierer Mobility Group. Both are also known to often share components between motorbikes, such as Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 which use machines and frames from KTM 390 Duke.
