KTM Presents 8 Units 890 SMT 2024 In Malaysia, The Price Is Like This

JAKARTA - KTM officially launched the 890 SMT 2024 model for the Malaysian market, which is Completely Built Up (CBU) from Austria.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Tuesday, January 9, this model is dubbed the Supermoto Tourer', which is placed between KTM 890 Duke R (CBU Philippines) and 890 Adventure (CBU Austria).

Many features are embedded in this one model, such as three driving modes consisting of rain, street and sports as well as track modes as optional ones that provide power to customizable throttles, as well as customizable traction controls up to 10 levels.

Not only that, but there is also a 5-inch TFT-LCD screen showing all the information needed, and also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity to a driver's smartphone.

In addition, the Cruise control, quickshifter, grip-heated, and Motor Slip Regulation features, or slipper cluster are available at 890 SMT for the first 1,000 km. After that, if the owner needs the feature, it will have to cost more if it is to be applied.

Meanwhile, talking about the convenience of 890 SMT provides a low seat option, and the front suspension of White Power (WP) with a diameter of 43 mm, while the back is already a monoshock that can be adjusted for preload.

Using an LC8 liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that is the same as Duke and Adventure, 890 SMT produces 105 hp of power at 8,000 rpm and 100 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power is channeled to the rear wheels through six gyrboks of acceleration with slipper coupling and chain-final driving.

Not many units have been brought by KTM in the Malaysian market for 2024, of which 890 SMT only have eight units. And one unit is priced at 101,800 ringgit or around Rp340 million, not including taxes, insurance and registration.
