Prove Commitment In Innovation, ITS Surabaya Inaugurates EVITS Electric Motor Production

JAKARTA - The Tenth Institute of Technology November (ITS) through PT ITS Tekno Sain collaborated with PT Panggung Electric Citrabuana to inaugurate the first production of EVITS electric motorcycles.

Quoted on the official ITS website, Monday, December 25, 2023, this step was taken in order to continue to prove its commitment to innovating and providing clean and environmentally friendly energy solutions in Indonesia.

At the activities held at PT Panggung Electric Citrabuana, Chancellor of ITS Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochamad Ashari MEng. revealed that this collaboration is important to do because the current university's duties are no longer limited to teaching.

According to him, currently universities also need to implement their innovation works into commercial products and can provide economic value for all parties, including the community.

"The quality of PT Panggung Electric Citrabuana is unquestionable. In fact, it has been proven since I first studied," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of PT ITS Tekno Sain, I Ketut Gunarta, revealed that the start of this mass production stage was not an easy struggle.

He also said that currently PT ITS Tekno Science is also developing three other types of electric motors. Currently, the three types of electric motors have entered the early development stage.

"The three are planned to launch in 2024," he explained.

On the same occasion, the Director of PT Panggung Electric Citrabuana, Win Winarjadi, said that PT Panggung Electric Citrabuana was happy to be part of the supply management in the production of EVITS.

In addition, he also feels proud to be able to bring environmentally friendly products to the community.

"Hopefully this collaboration can have a good impact on the homeland, nation, and all of us," hoped Winarjadi.
