PG-1 So Yamaha's Answer To Honda CT-125, Will You Be Present In Indonesia?

JAKARTA - Yamaha launched a PG-1 trail duck that is ready to compete with Honda CT-125 in Thailand, and after a few days the motor also officially arrived in Vietnam.

Speaking of price, the Thai market is priced at 64,900 baths or around Rp. 28.7 million. Meanwhile, for the cheaper Vietnamese market, it is at 30,437,000 or around Rp. 19.5 million.

"We see that it is not only good, but the market in Indonesia needs it or not, because here (Indonesia) is dominated by automatic," said Antonius Widiantoro as Asst. General Manager of Marketing & Public Relations of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), when met in Bogor, last Saturday, December 9.

Furthermore, he said that presenting the model requires further study, and not only directly bringing it to the country.

"Adjusting the driving character of consumers as well, if you want to be more comfortable, automatic is an option and requires a suitable study or not coming here," he added.

Indeed, PG-1 entered the trail duck segment which was dominated by the hobbyist. According to him, seeing the market in Indonesia is still very limited.

Taking a closer look at the specifications, PG-1 comes with a 113.7 cc engine, a single overhead camera, one air-cooled cylinder. With the engine capable of producing 8.8 hp of power at 7,000 rpm, and the torsion reaches 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Meanwhile, the Yamaha PG-1 is equipped with a telescopic front suspension and on the back of the absorber, with a total ground clearance of 190 mm, making each driver feel comfortable. In more detail, this one has a length dimension of 1,980 mm, 805 mm wide and 1,050 mm high.
