Zeekr Releases Images of 8X SUV, Comes with Luxury and Premium Touch

JAKARTA - Zeeker released images of the upcoming Zeekr 8X plug-in hybrid SUV, which will be offered in five- and six-seat versions, and uses the all-new SEA-S modular architecture.

Citing the Carnewschina website, Wednesday, January 21, the launch of the Zeekr 8X PHEV itself is expected to be carried out in the first half of this year. So what are the details?

On the front, the Zeekr 8X features a waterfall-style chrome grille design, combined with a C-shaped headlight consisting of 25,368 diamond-shaped facets and a roof lidar and its bumper is decorated with chrome trim.

At the back, the full-length stretched taillights consist of 54,894 diamond-shaped facets and use 630 nm ultra-red light technology.

In addition, there is an electric side step, a conventional door handle, and an electrically retractable rear tow bar. The maximum towing capacity is 2,000 kg. Chrome trim is also visible around the window frames, which makes it very special.

In terms of dimensions, the Zeekr 8X measures 5,100 mm long, 1,998 mm wide, 1,780 mm high with a wheelbase of 3,069 mm. Power comes from a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system, with the same engine model as the Zeekr 9X, producing a maximum power of 205 kW (275 hp), according to the MIIT.

The capacity of the ternary lithium battery pack is 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh from the CATL-Geely joint venture, providing pure electric ranges of 256 km, 257 km, and 328 km.

Although the parameters of the electric motor have not been announced at this time, according to previous reports, the Zeekr 8X is expected to have a three-motor megawatt electric drive system that produces 1,030 kW (1,381 hp) of power and a 6C fast charging battery.
