Kia Officially Introduces Second Generation Seltos With New Design And Technology

JAKARTA After being caught on camera several times, the second generation Kia Seltos, its popular subcompact SUV globally, was finally officially launched.

Representing the bold evolution of one of Kia's mainstay models, the new Seltos emphasized brand design leadership as well as a commitment to offer smoothed practicality and sophisticated uses according to modern lifestyles.

As a strategic global product, the latest Seltos is redesigned to provide a more stable driving experience as well as a smart daily function. With a strong reputation in terms of value and reliability, this new model combines authentic SUV characters with smart technology and increased comfort, setting new standards in the subcompact SUV segment.

In terms of appearance, the latest Seltos features Kia's vision of a confident and versatile subcompact SUV that combines bold design, smart packaging, and unlimited connectivity. Under the philosophy of United's Opposites design, this car combines a tough SUV character with an elegant modern touch. Wider posture, precision surface, and structural shape emits capabilities and confidence from each corner.

The grid is bigger with Kia's star map' lights and dynamical welcome lights; the door handle is flat increasing aerodynamics and gives a more elegant visual impression. The lines of the diagonal character, the floating' roof, and the firm shoulder contour create dynamic silhouettes that continue to feel moving even in a stationary state. The contrasting colors on the pillars and silver satin accents emphasize the strong and elegant impression.

The new Interior Seltos is designed to meet the needs of modern mobility from traveling home to work, traveling with family, to out-of-town adventures. Low and horizontal dashboards expand their forward views and create a spacious space, while cabin configuration ensure wide head and feet spaces for all passengers.

Based on the latest generation Kia K3 platform, Seltos now offers a more stable, smooth, and flexible driving performance. The engine option includes a 1.6 liter T-GDI turbo gasoline engine with a power of up to 180 PS and a 265 Nm torque, combined with a 7-acceleration DCT transmission or manual 6-acceleration; another 1.6 liter T-GDI version with 193 PS; as well as a 2.0 liter engine with 149 PS power and 179 Nm torque, all optimized for daily efficiency and convenience (including 8-acceleration automatic transmission at certain variants).

Seltos' global production only started in December 2025 starting from India and followed by launches in Korea, North America, Europe, and China throughout 2026.
