JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono said that as many as 15,845 Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives (KDMP) construction has been completed 100 percent, which includes physical buildings, warehouses, outlets, and accessories.

"There are 83,000 legal bodies of Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives (KDMP) that have been completed. Then the 100 percent physical buildings, warehouses, outlets, and equipment amounted to 15,845," said Minister of Cooperatives Ferry in his welcome remarks at the 79th Anniversary of Cooperative Day in 2026 at the Indonesia Arena GBK, Jakarta, Sunday.

Meanwhile, the number of KDMP currently under construction is 19,539, he continued.

"What is being built is 19,539 (KDMP), out of a total of approximately 35,000," said Ferry.

Along with the completion of the training and education of KDMP Managers in early August 2026, he said that they would be placed in all KDMPs that have completed physical construction, outlets, and equipment.

On that occasion, he appealed to President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate the operation of KDMP, which is planned for August 2026.

"Later, with the consent of Mr. President, we also want Mr. President (Prabowo Subianto) to inaugurate the operationalization of the Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperative (KDMP), Insya-Allah in August," said Minister of Transportation Ferry.

On that occasion, the Ministry of Cooperatives held the 79th Anniversary of Cooperative Day 2026, which was also attended by President Prabowo Subianto and the ranks of ministers in the Red and White Cabinet.

The government targets as many as 40 thousand Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives (KDMP) to operate by the end of 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen the village economy.

Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah said the government is currently not only focusing on completing the physical development of cooperatives, but also preparing human resources who will manage KDMP so that they can operate professionally.
