JAKARTA - After finally announcing the pre-booking price for the new SUV, Release L8, at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. This Chinese manufacturer also gave a leak about the consumption of fuel oil (BBM).

The premium SUV with a capacity of five passengers is offered with a tag of IDR 589 million and can be ordered without quota restrictions. However, After preparing special benefits for the first 100 consumers.

"If we focus now because there are three benefits, if it is included in the 100 customers, we will get benefits. This is still a booking price, we will launch another next event," said Product Manager Released Indonesia Lalu Indra Wirabhakti, in Tangerang, Friday, November 21.

Even though the price has been announced, Release still does not want to reveal the technical specifications of L8 in detail, especially regarding the machine used. However, the manufacturer has opened up a little picture of performance.

After L8 is claimed to have 1.49 liters of fuel consumption per 100 km or the equivalent of about 67 km per liter. This figure is classified as very efficient for a large body SUV.

Not only efficient, the release of L8 is also equipped with a full electric driving mode with a distance of up to 100 km. Overall, this SUV is claimed to be capable of driving up to more than 1,300 km in one charge and refueling.

The base of this vehicle is a new platform called LEX, which is specially developed for new energy SUVs. The platform offers a 2,800mm wheelbase to deliver a spacious and comfortable cabin.

"As our first innovation, LEX platform is a new energy vehicle platform that realizes your elegant drive by utilizing extraordinary space through wheelbase 2,800 mm. This platform is very efficient with 1.49 liters of fuel consumption per 100 km with a total distance of more than 1,300 km," said Lalu during a presentation at GJAW 2025.

As for the interior, Release has not disclosed visual details as a whole. However, the design concept is inspired by the character Leopard, from the exterior to the cabin atmosphere. After promising a driving experience that prioritizes premium comfort.

"In addition to the vast space and sophisticated comfort, L8 presents premium convenience equivalent to spa for relaxation moments for your body and mind. You will enjoy personal cabin fragrance, 3-layer multifunctional seat comfort," concluded Lalu.
