Messages From The Veloz Hybrid At A Special Price Of IDR 299 Million At GJAW 2025, When Will The Unit Be Sent?

Toyota has officially added ammunition in the environmentally friendly vehicle segment by launching the Toyota Veloz Hybrid at the 2025 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) event. Interestingly, this model immediately bears the status of the most affordable hybrid car in the ranks of Toyota Indonesia.

The presence of the Veloz Hybrid is Toyota's answer to the community's need for electrified cars that are more friendly in bags. Previously, the cheapest hybrid position was held by the Yaris Cross Hybrid which played in the price range of IDR 400 million.

Now, through the Veloz Hybrid, Toyota is expanding consumer access to hybrid technology, especially in the MPV segment of seven passengers. Toyota has opened a Veloz Hybrid order since GJAW 2025 was held.

Consumers who make orders until December 2025 have the right to enjoy special prices ranging from IDR 299 million for the V Grade variant, or the lowest. However, the price is limited and only applies during the promo period.

Even though it can be ordered, it is certain that the delivery of units to consumers will only be carried out next year. Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Henry Tanoto confirmed that the distribution of vehicles will begin in early 2026.

"Delivery starts in 2026, which is certain to be the first quarter of 2026," said Henry after the launch of Veloz Hybrid at the Toyota booth, ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Friday, November 21.

Veloz Hybrid carries a similar system to the Yaris Cross Hybrid. This car uses a 2NR-VEX coded engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc, combined with an electric motor. Henry explained, although the technology base is the same, the character of Veloz Hybrid has been adapted to the needs of its users.

"The hybrid system is the same as the Yaris Cross. But of course this is a different model, one 7 seats, one 5 seats, of course there is an adjustment to make it more optimal in driving or fuel efficiency more optimal," said Henry.

With the launch of the Veloz Hybrid in Indonesia, the line of domestically produced Hybrid Toyota cars is increasing. Previously, this Japanese manufacturer had local production hybrid cars, namely the Innova Zenix Hybrid and the Yaris Cross Hybrid.
