Volkswagen Tiguan Hits Recall, Here's The Problem

JAKARTA - Volkswagen Group Australia made a recall or recall for the Tiguan SUV produced in 2024-2025, with a total of 1482 units affected.

Quoting from the Drive page, Sunday, November 2, the report stated that there was a potential error with the semi-autonomous highway driving system.

Withdrawal notice, submitted to the local Department of Infrastructure, revealed due to software problems that could cause new problems, which are dangerous for users.

In fact, when the driver doesn't put his hand on the wheel for a long time it can cause problems. The Emergency Assist (EA) or Travel Assist(TA) function is deactivated on its own.

"Disappearance of safety functions can increase the risk of accidents causing injury or death to vehicle passengers and other road users," the local safety department report said.

Responding to this recall, Volkswagen Australia advises users to contact the local dealer network, to update the software, and free of charge.

So, for the owners of the Tiguan model for the production year 2024-2025 which can be sold at other times, they can visit the dealer network to check the above problems.
