Lexus Introduces The New LS Concept At The 2025 Japan Mobility Show, Offers New Definition Of Luxury

JAKARTA Lexus, Toyota's premium brand, presented a new breakthrough at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo. At this prestigious exhibition, Lexus introduced The New LS Concept which immediately caught the attention of visitors.

Lexus Chief Branding Officer, Simon Humphries, said that this year's event means more than just an automotive exhibition. According to him, this is a momentum for Lexus to reaffirm his commitment to customers in the luxury car segment.

Today, I want to challenge your perception of the meaning of a luxury brand. Lexus was born from a flagship model, and our flagship is LS," he said, quoted from Lexus' official website, Wednesday, October 29.

Lexus assessed that the luxury car market landscape has now changed drastically. If in the past the executive sedan became the main symbol of luxury, now the position has been shifted by the SUV. However, Lexus customers still want to define luxury in their own way.

Lexus is always more than just a vehicle. We continue to present new products, services, and experiences. Now is the time to redefine the meaning of our flagship LS is no longer just a Luxury Sedan or Luxury SUV, but Luxury Space. This is the new concept of LS," continued Humphries.

The concept of this passenger car is the only of three exhibition cars that use the name LS without additional body labels, confirming that this is the main vision of the model's future. Lexus now envisions LS as an abbreviation for Luxury Space, no longer Luxury Sedan.

The design is also very futuristic to carry six wheels to provide cabin room flexibility that can load seven seats in a two-two-three configuration. The middle seat can be rotated face-to-back, with access through the double sliding door on the body side. Each seat is equipped with a signature, bamboo curtain, and a double glass roof that adds to the exclusive impression.

On the front, two curved screens stretch in front of the driver, complete with an aircraft-style yoke-style steering wheel that contains quick control for AC, media, and doors.

The exterior looks unique with lights as a substitute element for chrome, featuring modern reinterpretation of Lexus' spindle grip and U-shaped backlight that surrounds the rear glass.
