Changan Releases Cheap Electric Cars Rich In Features, Reach 520 Km

JAKARTA Changan is expanding its line of electric SUV models through a new variant of Deepal S05 titled 520 Lite, which was recently launched on the Chinese market. The model is designed as an entry-level option of the Deepal S05 family.

This car is targeted for consumers who want a compact electric SUV with complete features and efficient performance. In dimensions, the Deepal S05 520 Lite is 4,620 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,600 mm high, and 2.880 mm wheelbase.

Dimension tersebut sangat identifikan dengan varian S05 yang sudah beredar, seperti dilansir dari Carnewschina, Selasa, 21 Oktober. Designnya tetap menganggu gaya elegan dengan grille tertutup khas mobil listrik serta garis bodi yang tegas dan modern.

Turning to the interior, the car offers a number of impressive features for its class. There is a frameless door, a mechanical flush model door handle, a power glass with anti-jepit features, as well as an air conditioning system with a heat pump and PM2.5 filtration.

For entertainment, a touch screen measuring 15.4 inches of 2.5K resolution powered by the SemiDrive X9SP chip, complete with the support of CarLink, Huawei HiCar, and Honor Interconnection connectivity connectivity. In terms of performance, Deepal S05 520 Lite uses a single electric motor with a power of 200 kW or the equivalent of 268 dk.

The power is supplied from a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 56.12 kWh, which is claimed to be able to cover a distance of up to 520 km based on the CLTC cycle. Interestingly, the Deepal S05 520 Lite is priced at around Rp271.8 million, making it the most affordable variant in the S05 line.

This price is much lower than other variants sold between 119,900 and 149,900 yuan. The presence of this new variant strengthens the position of Changan in the compact EV segment.
