Premium Zeekr 9X SUV Debuts In China, Offers 3.1 Seconds Acceleration And Advanced Autonomous Features

JAKARTA - The automaker Zeekr under Geely Holding Group officially launched its newest Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) bongsor, Zeekr 9X, which is an important step towards expanding its existence in the luxury vehicle segment.

Based on a report from the CnEVPost, Tuesday, September 30, this debut marks Zeekr's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model, having previously focused on releasing a row of pure electric cars in recent years.

Zeekr 9X is priced starting from 465,900 yuan or around Rp1.1 billion. Even though the price is relatively high, this car turns out to be in demand by many consumers.

"This SUV has received nearly 80 thousand initial orders over the past month (prebooking)," said Geely's Senior Vice President, Victor Yang, revealing via Weibo.

In dimensions, this SUV is indeed a giant. Its length reaches 5,239 mm, width 2,019 mm, height 1,819 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm, making it one of the largest vehicles in the Chinese market.

Zeekr 9X is also the first model built on the SEA-S platform, equipped with a 2.0T hybrid powertrain with a hybrid high voltage architecture of 900 volts. The three installed silicon carbide motors are capable of producing extraordinary peak power, making this car fly 0100 km/hour in just 3.1 seconds.

No less interesting, there is a choice of 55 kWh and 70 kWh batteries with a CLTC range of between 300 and 380 km. Both support ultra-fast charging of up to 6C, so that the battery can be charged by 2080 percent in just about 9 minutes, or 1080 percent in 10.3 minutes.

For smart driving technology, the two lowest variants rely on a single Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip with a computing power of 700 TOPS, combined with the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 smart driving system. While the highest variant comes more sophisticated with a double Thor-U chip and support for the Zeekr G-Pilot H9 system, which is already capable of running the Level 3 autonomous driving feature.
