JAKARTA - Audi has created another breakthrough in the automotive world with Concept C's global debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 exhibition in Munich. This concept car immediately attracted attention and sparked speculation, many called it the successor to Audi TT. However, after seeing its larger size, the conversation turned into a candidate to replace Audi R8.

As it turned out, the speculation was wrong. Reporting from Motortrend, Wednesday, August 10, Audi explained that this new model, which will be produced next year as a two-seater electric car, will not replace either TT or R8. Cars that do not yet have this official name (most likely will bear the name 'E-tron') will be positioned between the two.

However, Concept C still brings the design spirit of the TT, with a touch of R8 signal on the back. The car also reminds the Rosemeyer concept which was released in 2000.

Audi called the Concept C design a new aesthetic for all Audi models to launch after 2027, including in global markets such as the United States. This design direction can also be applied to vehicles with internal combustion engines, although the production version of Concept C is confirmed to be electric.

Concept C marks Audi's efforts to restore its power as a design-oriented brand. Its interior returns to a simpler and purer style, with buttons that use metal and aluminum trim that produce familiar click sound.

The market space for two-seater electric cars is currently not too crowded. The production version of Concept C will later compete with the electric Cayman 718 Porsche. Both are expected to share an electric platform being developed by the Volkswagen Group.
