Ferrari Officially Releases 849 Testarossa Berlinetta, PHEV Supercar With A Strength Of 1,035 Horses

JAKARTA Ferrari has just introduced its newest masterpiece, 849 Testarossa, a linear plug-in hybrid (PHEV) car that will replace SF90 Stradale on their product line. This super sports car combines Ferrari's historical heritage with future technology and is available in two variants, namely an aerodynamic version of the coupe and a Spider version with an open roof.

Testarossa, a legendary name in Ferrari's history, is again used to mark cars that are at the top of performance. This name was first used in 1956 to highlight high-performance racing engines and then on iconic street models in 1984. 849 Testarossa are designed for the most demanding clients who want the best performance without sacrificing comfort andrcery.

Reporting from the manufacturer's official website, Wednesday, September 10, the heart of 849 Testarossa is a redesigned twin-turbo V8 engine, now generating 830 cv, an increase of 50 cv from the previous version. This machine is combined with three electric motors two at the front and one behind, which adds 220 cv in power, generating a total system power of 1050 cv (1035 hp). This innovation makes this car the best weight-power ratio in the Ferrari product line.

Meanwhile, when the gas pedal is stepped on, the resulting acceleration feels like an explosion. From a stationary position, this car can speed up to 100 km/hour in less than 2.3 seconds. This figure is not just technical data, but clear evidence of the extraordinary strength and dexterity of the engine. This performance does not stop there. With unlimited power, this car continues to advance until it reaches a maximum speed of more than 330 km/hour.

To support its extreme performance, this car's electronic control system is the most advanced among other Ferrari models. The car is equipped with an ABS Evo, which improves braking precision and consistency, as well as a new digital estimation system, the FIVE, which makes steering more precise and replicateable. Stronger and more consistent braking is also guaranteed by a larger disk and caliber.

In terms of aerodynamics, 849 Testarossa was inspired by Sports Prototypes in the 1970s, with sharp and geometric lines. This design is not only aesthetic, but also functional. Total downforce (downforce) reaches 415 kg at 250 km/h, an increase of 25 kg compared to SF90 Stradale. This was achieved thanks to an active back spoiler and optimization of airways that increased airflow by 30 percent to intercooler.

Interestingly, the car's hard roof can be opened-closed (RHT), which allows drivers to open and close the roof in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 45 km/hour. This means that the car's extraordinary performance can be enjoyed in any conditions, even in open air, offering a more dynamic connection with the surrounding environment and higher driving emotions.

The interior of this car is designed to create a more ergonomic driving experience. More comfortable cockpits, new steering wheels with mechanical buttons, and a more intuitive HMI (Human-Machine Interface) system make interactions with cars easier. Seats are available in two versions, convenience and carbon fiber racing, both of which prioritize ergonomics and styling.

For customers looking for peak performance, there is an Assetto Fiorano optional package. This package includes weight reductions of up to 30 kg thanks to the use of carbon fiber and titanium, special suspensions, and high performance tires. The Fiorono Assetto is also equipped with double rear wings that can increase the press force down to three times.
