AION UT Becomes A Center For Attention At GIIAS Surabaya

JAKARTA - The latest car from GAC Indonesia, namely AION UT, became a magnet in itself at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Surabaya 2025 which ended last week.

Carrying the concept of a dynamic and stylish urban electric car, AION UT is here to answer the mobility needs of the younger generation and active professionals who want reliable, stylish, and technological vehicles.

Carrying the slogan e:XPRESS YOUR STYLE, AION UT comes for urban riders who live fast, move smartly, and never slow down. Starting from morning coffee to night driving, from casual hoodies to formal blazer suits, AION UT is claimed to be a companion to a true lifestyle.

"In addition to having an interesting design, the presence of AION UT in Surabaya is believed to be an important moment to emphasize the positioning of this car as an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based EV with the highest technology in its class", said GAC Indonesia Product Planning And Strategy, Iqbal Taufiqurrarman, in his statement, Wednesday, September 3.

Just like in Jakarta, this car comes with 2 variants, Standard and Premium, with various color choices reflecting personal styles namely Emerald Green, Moonstone Silver, Lunar White, Velvet Red, and Almond Beige. A two-tone color option with a white roof is available in the Emerald Green and Velvet Red colors.

For the price, AION UT is released at the official pre-booking price starting from the Standard version below Rp330,000.00 while the Premium version is above that price (OTR Jakarta). Meanwhile, prices outside Jakarta will adjust.

Interestingly, during the GIIAS period (27 31 August 2025) in Surabaya, customers who order AION UT will get free portable chargers and dashcams.

Looking back at the specifications of the AION UT, this car was designed directly by Stephane Janin, Director of GAC Advanced Design Center Europe, this well-known automotive designer from Europe has an outdoor display that shows the design of the streaming body, floating roof, and the main lights inspired by the shape of the owl's eye. The light cube matrix in sein lights and rear lights strengthens the aura of Milan's signature car.

With a wide enough dimension specification for a hatchback, AION UT has a length of 4,270 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,575 with a wheelbase of 2,750 which has proven capable of being an EV alternative that can accommodate daily driving activities with technology that provides driving convenience.

Not only superior in terms of design, powered by cutting-edge technology, AION UT is able to cover a distance of up to 500 km in one charge. The charging process is also super fast from 30 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes with a DC fast charging type CCS2 charger.
