Officially Launching, Suzuki E Vitara Will Be Present In Indonesia Next Year

JAKARTA - Maruti Suzuki has finally officially launched an e-Vitara from the production line, marking an important moment for the greatness of the country's electric vehicle manufacturing.

Interestingly, the units produced in the Suzuki Motor Gujarat will later be exported to the UK, Germany, Norway, France, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Austria, and Belgium some of the 100 destination countries for e-Vitara delivery.

Suzuki Motor Corporation President Toshihiro Suzuki said he was very happy that this milestone is also a tangible proof of the lasting partnership between India and Japan, which builds on mutual trust and a common vision for carbon-neutral progress and the future.

"We will provide all products and technology that will reduce consumption and import of oil and carbon emissions such as battery electric vehicles, resilient hybrid electric vehicles, and natural gas and biofuel-powered vehicles," he said, quoted from his official website, Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Suzuki e Vitara from Maruti Suzuki is predicted to be the largest electric vehicle mass-produced and exported from India. Born from the successful Indian-Japan partnership, e Vitara combines Suzuki technology with the greatness of Indian manufacturing, according to the spirit of 'Make in India; Make for the World'.

This car is built on a newly designed EV platform and is not an IC-engined vehicle converted to EV because EVs involve several design compromises. The e VITARA preview has been done earlier in Milan, Italy and at Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, India, including in Indonesia.

Presence in Indonesia

Suzuki e VITARA is predicted to be present in Indonesia next year (2026). The car was exhibited by Suzuki Indonesia at GIIAS 2025 in early August. President Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor and PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, Minuru Amano, emphasized that the presence of e-Vitara was part of Suzuki Indonesia's concrete steps in supporting the national carbon neutrality agenda.

"Suzuki Indonesia fully supports the mission towards carbon neutrality through technology efficiency, environmentally friendly product development, and sustainable practice," said Amano when met some time ago.

Carrying a tough and stylish SUV DNA, the Suzuki e-Vitara appeared captivating with ideal dimensions: 4,275 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,635 mm high, and 2,700 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance 180 mm gives confidence while crossing various road conditions.

The exterior of the e-Vitara features the character of sporty with firm curvature and aerodynamic touch, while its interior is designed comfortable and high-tech to support an active and dynamic urban lifestyle.
