JAKARTA - Xpeng, an electric car manufacturer from China, officially launched the facelift version of the G6 in Thailand, exactly a year of launching the model in the White Elephant Country.

Based on a report from CNevpost, quoted on Saturday, August 23, the launch of the SUV that took place in Bangkok is quite eye-catching, thanks to an update on the battery mechanism that supports 5C ultrafast charging.

"It was built on a 800-volt high voltage platform, and displayed the Tianji XOS AI-powered system when it was launched," said one company representative.

The rest has not changed, where there are still two variants, namely Long Range which is priced at 1,349,000 baht or around Rp675 million. Meanwhile, the AWD Performance variant touched 1,489,000 baht or Rp745 million.

Both models are equipped with an 80.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 12 minutes. That figure is quite interesting for fast charging.

The Long Range variant has a range of 600 km of NEDC, while the AWD Performance variant has a range of 575 km.

G6 Long Range is powered by a motorbike mounted on the back with an output of 218 kW (293 horse power), which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6.7 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Performa variant added a front motor, bringing the total system output to 358 kW, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.13 seconds.

As is known, the G6 was originally launched in China in June 2023, playing an important role in increasing Xpeng shipments. Currently, the model has been launched in more than 30 countries including Indonesia.
