Opel Officially Shows GSE Corsa Vision Gran Turismo, High Performance Electric Car Concept

JAKARTA - After inviting curiosity, Opel finally officially revealed the concept of his newest car, Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo.

This concept car will make its debut at IAA Mobility 2025 on September 8, 2025. Along with its presence, racing game fans can immediately feel the sensation of driving it on Gran Turismo 7, which will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles this fall.

Opel CEO Florian Huettl stated that the GSE Corsa Vision Gran Turismo brought the GSE sub-brand to its next level.

"This not only shows what is possible on small car platforms, but also displays a clear view of the future," he said, quoted from the manufacturer's website, Thursday, August 21.

Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series, also welcomed Opel's return to this innovative game.

Extraordinary Performance With Electric Power

Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is the perfect embodiment of the high performance of GSE sub-brands. This car is powered by two electric motors, each on each axis, which produces a total of 588 kW (800 hp) of extraordinary power and 800 Nm of torque.

With an all-wheel drive system and a single transmission, this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 2.0 seconds. The peak speed reaches 320 km/hour. Not only that, but there is also a booster function feature that provides additional 59 kW (80 hp) for four seconds, very useful when overtaking. Even though it is equipped with 82 kWh of battery, it weighs only 1170 kg thanks to the use of light materials.

The appearance of the muscular and powerful Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo reflects the freedom of design made possible by the STLA Small platform. The body is lower and wider, with sharp lines combined with technical details. The front features a new design of the next generation Opel Vizor, with the flashy Blitz logo in the middle.

To ensure the car remains stable, Opel embeds a number of advanced aerodynamic solutions. Aero curves, aero-blade feder flares, aero wheels, as well as active aero diffusors and active aero spoilers work together to optimize airflow and increase downforce.

The interior part is designed to provide a "detoxed" racing experience. Drivers will sit in light sports seats with six safety belts. The sleek steering wheel provides a clear view to the head-up display, so there is no need for additional screens. An innovative feature is also present in the form of a sensor that gives a warning through a lighted cloth on the dashboard when there is a vehicle at the blind spot.
