Changan Nevo Shares Latest Images Of Q05 SUV, BYD Yuan Up Challenger

JAKARTA - A manufacturer from China never stops to innovate. Including the subbrand of Changan, namely Nevo, which often brings new breakthroughs.

Citing from the CNevpost page, Nevo is a new brand launched by Changan in August 2023. At that time, Changan stated that the product portfolio of the brand would include series A, series Q, and series E0.

The current Nevo mode modes include A05, A07, Q05, Q07, E07, K50, and Lumin, which include sedan markets, SUVs (sport utility vehicles), and pickup trucks. The brand will also launch a new sedan model, C390 in the second half of this year.

Most recently, this brand will launch the latest Q05 which will compete directly with BYD Yuan Up. Nevo shared four images of electric Q05 on its social media accounts today, which states that the model will be its first global purely electric compact SUV.

The images shared display only limited details, but the SUV appears to be equipped with LiDAR mounted on the roof and a semi-hidden door handle.

The available Nevo Q05 was originally launched on December 12, 2023, and is only available as a choice of PHEV. In dimensions, it comes with a length, width, and height of 4,539 mm, 1,865 mm, and 1,680 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,656 mm.

In comparison, BYD Yuan Up has a length of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, and a height of 1,675 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.

Nevo Q05 is currently available in three hybrid versions, with prices ranging from 96,900 yuan or around Rp219 million. Can this latest model compete with BYD?
