JAECOO J5 EV's First Debut At GIIAS 2025, Can Be Ordered

TANGERANG - JAECOO Indonesia finally opened its first electric car cover JAECOO J5 EV. The model appeared attractive at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) and was already at the right wheel.

Not only showing off the model, JAECOO Indonesia has also opened the JAECOO J5 EV electric car pre-booking. This model itself is present in two variants, the Standard variant price (pre booking) is at IDR 350 million, while the Premium variant is at IDR 450 million.

JAECOO Indonesia Country Director Max Zhou, revealed that the J5 EV at GIIAS 2025 was an important milestone for JAECOO, not only because this was the company's first step in the pure electric SUV segment, but also as part of the most complete JAECOO product line exhibition for the Indonesian market so far.

"Starting from the all-wheel drive (AWD) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, to this latest EV, our full presence at GIIAS 2025 shows JAECOO's long-term commitment in Indonesia and our ambition to deliver smarter, environmentally friendly, and resilient SUVs for modern explorers," he said, at the launch, at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Designed for the new generation of urban explorers, the J5 EV presents a bold evolution of the 'beyond classical' JAECOO design philosophy. Despite being compact, this true SUV comes with a clean modern aesthetic as well as a broad and practical space function, appropriate for young and active families who want flexibility for weekdays and performance ready to explore on weekends.

Powered by a battery with a capacity of 60.9 kWh, J5 BEV is designed to provide efficiency as well as practicality. This vehicle has a maximum power of 155 kW and a maximum torque of 288 Nm. Equipped with 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and 6 airbags, this car ensures the safety of passengers on every trip.

Entering the cabin, this model offers a spacious space for families and various lifestyle equipment, including pet-friendly accessories that make it easier to bring hairy friends during adventure.

"We have also started a Completion Knock Down (CKD) assembly for J7 SHS at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor facility, and in the future other JAECOO product lines, including J5 EV, J8 ARDIS, J8 SHS ARDIS. In line with our support for the national automotive industry," concluded Max.
