JAKARTA - Xiaomi SU7 Ultra managed to score a record as the fastest production electric car on the legendary N\"ourburgring circuit in Germany.
In an announcement made directly by Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun, via today's Weibo and X platforms, the SU7 Ultra managed to carve an impressive round time of 7 minutes 04.957 seconds. This achievement completely surpassed the previous record held by the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with a time of 7 minutes 07.55 seconds which was scored in September 2023. "I believe this record will be broken again in the near future," Lei Jun wrote in his post, showing a high competitive spirit from Xiaomi. The image he shared showed that this record was scored on April 1.
Launching CarNewschina, this achievement is not the first for the SU7 series in N\"ourburgring. In October 2024, the SU7 Ultra prototype had already been shocked with a record time of 6 minutes 46.874 seconds, making it the fastest four-door car on the track.
