BMW M2 CS Ready To Launch Next May, Limited Produced Only 2,000 Units

JAKARTA - One of BMW's high-performance sub-brands, BMW M, is reportedly designing an M2 CS or a twisted version of the M2 ranks.

This is evidenced by the catch of a spy camera showing an entry-level model in the BMW M lineup being tested. The car shows a significant number of differences compared to the standard version.

Now, the car suspected of M2 CS has been caught again on camera hanging over the asphalt as well as showing that this car will be launched in the near future.

CarBuzz reported on Thursday, April 24, the car, which will be the most powerful M2 ever, shows a number of new details with a firmer front and a thin ducktail trunk spoiler on its back.

The report also claims that M2 CS will weigh lighter than the standard version, which is 29 kg lighter by lowering the suspension to 8 mm. Because it weighs lighter, BMW takes advantage of more carbon fiber usage including on roof panels.

Not only that, the interior of this car is expected to have an Alcantara steering wheel, a bucket seat, and a black or dual-tone and red layer.

Like other versions, BMW M2 CS is still equipped with a 6-cylinder engine with a twin-turbo line but with a larger output. The car is said to be pumping up to 525 hp of output, so it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.8 seconds and the highest speed is 188 mpj or 302 km/hour.

Although not yet officially announced, the BMW M2 CS has the potential to be launched at the start of this summer or to be precise next month to coincide with the Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste, May 23-25. It is estimated that the sedan will be produced in a limited way of only 2,000 units in the world.
