JAKARTA - PT JLM Auto Indonesia has confirmed that it will launch the latest model in the national premium vehicle market, one of which is by launching Defender Octa this year.

Sales & Marketing Director of JLM Auto Indonesia, Kurniadi Setiawan, said this car offers a significant increase in performance and technology that adjusts the high standards of Land Rover for premium offroad needs.

"We are very enthusiastic about introducing Defender Octa, which offers a significant improvement in performance as well as adjusting Land Rover's high standards," Kurniadi said in his presentation at a breaking fast with the media in Kuningan, Jakarta, Monday, March 17.

The car is claimed to be the most powerful and resilient Defender among other variants. So, what are the specifications like? The following is the review according to VOI monitoring:

Dimension And Design

In terms of design, this car has no striking difference compared to other Defender models. One element that distinguishes it is the presence of Octa ensemble with a luxurious glus black grILL.

In addition, this tough SUV also has a 22-inch liter Style 7026 black gloss which emits dynamics in the model.

Defender Octa has a wide dimension with a length of 4,813 mm (without a spare tire pairing), width of 2,105 mm, height of up to 1,995 mm with air suspension activated, and wheelbase of 3,023 mm.

Sophisticated Features

The British manufacturer also provides 6D Dynamics Suspension technology for the first time introduced to the Defender model. This makes it easier for drivers to overcome more extreme obstacles and provide a wading depth of up to 1 meter, so that Defender Octa is able to bulldoze various terrains.

The model is also equipped with an infotainment system in its interior that can be powered by Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Head-up Display, Meridian's voice system, and much more.

In order to accommodate his performance, Land Rover also gave him the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) system, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Hill Launch Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), and others.

Powered Performance

Land Rover Defender Octa is armed with a 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo engine that synergizes with a mid-hybrid system, thus obtaining up to 635 hp and 750 Nm torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.8 seconds.

The performance is assisted by an all-wheel drive system (AWD) that is suitable for driving needs in various terrains and transmissions of eight automatic accelerations.
