After Urban Cruiser, Toyota Will Introduce Other EVs In March

JAKARTA - Some time ago, Toyota had introduced Urban Cruiser as its newest electric vehicle. This car describes environmentally friendly mobility in the future.

Not satisfied with that, this Sakura manufacturer will introduce another electric vehicle line based on the bZ Compact Crossover concept car. This car is referred to as the third EV introduced to the European market, in addition to bZ4X and Urban Cruiser.

Launching from the Autocar page, Wednesday, February 26, Toyota will introduce its newest EV on March 12, European time. This also continues the manufacturer's plan to provide at least six electric vehicles by the end of 2026.

The car features a silhouette that resembles a crossover and still retains elements from its concept versions, such as curved roof lines and long engine hoods. Just like bZ4X and other new ranks, this model will have a front design resembling a hammer.

This latest model is expected to adopt some of the same elements as the bZ3C available in China. It is estimated that the car will be in position among bZ4X and hybrid-powered CH-R which are more compact.

Like the Urban Cruiser which is smaller in size, this latest EV will be sold in various configurations of electric and battery motorcycles.

It is estimated that this latest car will carry the AWD configuration, which means that electric motors are installed in both doubles to provide combined power reaching 181 hp and peak torques reaching 300 Nm with a battery of 61 kWh with a range of 386 km.

Just like Urban Cruiser, the car will also be available in an entry-level variant that has 142 hp power from a single electric motor installed in front and a 49 kWh battery.

Although the price remains unconfirmed, Toyota is expected to provide a price of around 38,000 pounds (Rp785.4 million) for its entry-level variant.
