Porsche Introduces The Latest 911 Carrera S, Promises Better Driving Fun

JAKARTA - Porsche introduced the latest 911 Carrera S which also complements the current 911 series. The car is positioned among the Carrera and Carrera GTS variants with the presence of several improvements.

Launching from Porsche's official website, Friday, January 10, 911 Carrera S is now equipped with wheels measuring 20/21 inches covered in stagged tires. Behind the wheels there is a red brake caliber and a disk measuring 408 mm in front and 380 mm in the back so that it maximizes the ability of the deceleration better.

Then, the sports car was given an exhaust system with a silver pipe. This German manufacturer also provides a Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system that has been tested on tracks and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which functions to provide a 10 mm lower ride weight.

Meanwhile, the dampening hydrauls are also optimized compared to their predecessors. According to the manufacturer, the latest 911 Carrera S has better driving skills thanks to improvements in terms of precision and response.

The steering section combined with a more direct rear-axle steering and the front doubles kinematics has been adjusted. This ensures more agile and direct handling while increasing stability significantly at high speed.

Another highlight is the interior with the presence of black leather packages as a standard. Then, there are chairs, head support, dashboards, door panels, and rear seat systems as optional for the Couple type.

Talking about its performance, Porsche maintains a boxer engine of 3.0 liters 6-cylinder twin-turbo iconic which produces power reaching 480 ps and a torque of 530 Nm, an increase of 30 ps compared to its predecessor.

The increase was produced by the latest turbocharger system and extensive optimization of charge-water cooling for better efficiency.

With this engine, the latest 911 Carrera S is able to speed up from 0 to 100 km/h within 3.3 seconds so that it reaches the highest speed of up to 308 km/hour with the transmission of the Porsche Dual-Clutch (PDK) eight accelerations.

Porsche doesn't want to reveal the price yet, but promises to be present in the Coupe or Cabriolet version with a rear wheel drive (RWD).
