The Aion ES Electric Sedan Launches In A Neighboring Country, Cheaper Than In Indonesia

JAKARTA - GAC Aion added its portfolio on the Malaysian market by launching the Aion ES electric sedan, at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Thursday, December 5, the electric sedan is priced at 106,800 ringgit or around Rp. 383 million, aka slightly cheaper than in Indonesia which is at Rp. 386 million.

In design, this one car is classified as fashionable, which is equipped with a skyline through type tail light and a high adjustable headlight adjuster. In dimensions, the Aion ES is 4,810 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, and 1,545 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

Entering the cabin, this one car is equipped with a six-way driver seat adjustment, a 3.5-inch LCD multi-info screen, and an eight-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay. The operation uses a turnknop on the center console.

The ES Aion is powered by a 55.2 kWh LFP battery that drives the front wheel and allows a distance of 442 km in the NEDC count, with this distance of course sufficient for in-city travel to be used.

The charging of the Aion ES battery with AC type 6.6 kW can take 11 hours to full, while for fast charging DC 60 kW it is only 1.5 hours and 30-80 percent in just 30 minutes.

In terms of safety, this sedan is already supported by two air bags, ISOFIX, a backward camera and ESPN. For the Malaysian market, a choice of Glamour Black, Holographic Silver, and Pure White colors is offered.
