BYD Sealion 07 Officially Launches In Thailand, Prices Start At IDR 500 Million

JAKARTA - BYD officially added its car lineup to Thailand by launching the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Sealion 07 EV, which has also been marketed in Europe.

Citing from the CNevpost page, Tuesday, December 3, the Chinese brand launched Sealion 07 at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo 2024, starting on November 28 in Bangkok.

For the White Elephant Country market, this electric car comes in two variants with a rear wheel drive (Premium) priced at 1,149,900 baht or around Rp531 million, while for the highest variant or Performance it is at 1,249,900 baht (Rp577 million).

"The company hopes to use the BYD brand to meet the needs of Thai consumers, and consolidate its leading position in the Southeast Asian market," said BYD.

Previously, this one model was also introduced in Malaysia. In design, Sealion 7 takes a lot of style from Seal who is a former Audi designer Wolfgang Egger. On the front, the light is in the form of C, there is also a large air elevator, full wide back light, and a large back diffuser. External elements include LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED rear-bright combinations.

In dimensions, this one SUV has a length of 4,830 mm, a width of 1,925 mm, a height of 1,620 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. In design, it is similar to BYD Song L where it styles a coup with a long body and a low roof line.

Sealion 7 Premium, comes with a distance of 567 km on the NEDC cycle, while improved performance in AWD results in a slight reduction in travel distance to 542 km.
