Rolls-Royce Ghost Facelift: Luxury, More Sophisticated, Ready To Debut In 2025

JAKARTA - The British ultra-premium auto brand Rolls-Royce officially introduced a facelift version of the Ghost Series II luxury sedan. The latest model comes with a number of updates claimed to be better than its predecessor, offering a more stunning driving experience.

According to Cars' Chief Executive Rolls-Royce Motor Chris Brownridge, this update is inspired directly by customer input. Ghost facelift presents a fresher exterior design, enhanced control, and the latest technology, making it one of the most advanced V12 engine cars ever made by Rolls-Royce.

"Exterior updates and the use of high-quality materials create a more expressive and impactful impression. Ghost is now offering extraordinary handling thanks to the latest chassis innovation we are developing," Brownridge said Wednesday, October 9, in a BMW Group release.

From the exterior side, the front look of the Ghost facelift is increasingly different from the presence of a new LED light designed to reinforce its difference to the 'brother', Phantom. The wider and lower Grill strengthens Ghost's identity as a model under Phantom, Cullinan, and Spectre. Meanwhile, the front-intake water section is revised to improve aerodynamics, coupled with a new Spectre-inspired backlight.

Entering the cabin, Ghost facelift offers modern luxury with a large glass panel that houses three separate digital screens. The main screen operates the Rolls Spirit system which is connected to the Whisperers app and is supported by a 1.400 Watt-powered premium sound system. interior lighting is now equipped with a new choreography with a wide selection of colors, including gray and Duality Twill. The luxury chair is covered in a bamboo cloth embroidered with 2.2 million stitches and 18 km long threads.

In terms of performance, Ghost remains loyal to a 6.75 liter V12 bi-turbo engine that produces 563 dk and 850 Nm torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 4.6 seconds, with a peak speed of up to 250 km/hour.

However, Rolls-Royce is still closing information meetings regarding the price and launch schedule of this official Ghost facelift. It is estimated that this luxury sedan will enter the market at the end of 2024 or early 2025.
