Toyota Camry Latest Generation Greets Australia Market, Comes With Three Variants

JAKARTA - After officially global debuting at the end of last year in the United States, Toyota officially brought Camry's newest ranks to the Australian market.

This one model itself has indeed undergone many changes, both in terms of exterior, interior, multimedia, safety features to the latest generation hybrid powertrain.

Reflecting Toyota's commitment to fuel-efficient technology and a multi-path approach to decarbonization, the new Camry introduced the fifth-generation 2.5 liter Hybrid Electric powertrain from Toyota to its line of products in Australia for the first time.

Customer demand for Toyota's fuel-efficient Hybrid Electric technology has grown stronger in recent years, and the lineup of new Camry products using only the hybrid reflects the demand, said Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley, quoted from his official website, Thursday, September 19.

The new generation of Hybrid Electric Powertrain produces more power, improves driving performance, and reduces fuel consumption by only 4.0L/100km.

Complementing this new powertrain is a sleek exterior design that adopts the Hammer Head Toyota design language, as well as the addition of Toyota's latest active safety technology and increased standard equipment for convenience and convenience.

"With very low fuel consumption, better output, and driving capabilities, the new Hybrid Electric Camry series offers the performance and driving dynamics of our customers," he added.

The new Hybrid Electric system drives the front wheels through the transmission of electronic continuous variables (CVT), with Normal, Eco and Sport modes, along with EV modes that allow Camry to be driven only with EV power at short distances and low speeds.

For the Australian market, Camry is offered in three variants ranging from Ascent, Ascent Sport, and SL which are the top variants. The exterior colors of this one car include Glacier White, Frosted White, Silver Pearl, Liquid Mercury, Eclipse Black, Badminton Red, Precious Bronze, and Saturn Blue.

Regarding the price, the lowest variant is at 39,990 Australian dollars or around Rp415 million, and the highest variant reaches 53,990 Australian dollars or Rp561 million.
