JAKARTA PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has just introduced Chery Tiggo 8, the latest model of the Tiggo series, at the GIIAS 2024 event which was held last July.

This time the VOI team got a valuable opportunity to try out Chery Tiggo 8 directly with routes from Cilandak Town Square (Citos) to PIK 2. How is the sensation of driving this futuristic car? Let's review from various aspects.

Design: Futuristic And Strong Impressions

In terms of appearance, Chery Tiggo 8 managed to present a stylish and tough design, reflecting the character of a true SUV. The front of the car comes with the Tiger Shap Conquer concept, which symbolizes courage, typical of the Tiggo series. The latest front Grill with Starlight design emits a modern and dynamic feel, combined with sharp headlights that provide optimal visibility, especially when driving at night.

The back of the car is equipped with a chrom coated double exhaust, Crystal LED dynamic lights, and 18-inch rims that add to the premium impression. The dimensions of this car are also quite large with a length of 4,722 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 1,705 mm, giving a strong impression and ready for all terrains.

Feelings Of Driving: Comfortable And Fun To Drive

Talking about driving performance, Chery Tiggo 8 gives a mature and fun sensation. When crossing the toll road, handling feels stable and gives confidence when overtaking other vehicles. Sound resistance is also a plus, because the sound from outside, especially on toll roads, is barely heard in the cabin.

Suspension is able to reduce shocks well, providing extra comfort when passing through uneven roads. We also tried to sit in the second row chair, and with a height of 168 cm, the space of legs and head still feels relieved. The space on the back is also quite wide, adding to the comfort of long-distance travel.

Features: Complete And Sophisticated

Chery Tiggo 8 is equipped with various features that support the comfort and safety of driving. Some of the leading features include a 360-degree camera, Advanced Driving Assistant System (ADAS) 9, and Electric Panoramic Sunrooft. However, it should be noted that these features are only available in the highest variant, namely the Premium model.

In addition, the SUV is also equipped with 6 airbags, seats with positional memory, and an audio system with 8 speakers that provides a more enjoyable driving experience.

Machine: Handling Power With Turbo

Unlike the Tiggo 8 Pro variant which carries a 2,000 cc engine, the Tiggo 8 model is equipped with a 1,600 cc turbo engine which produces a maximum power of 185 PS and a 275 Nm torque. Even though the engine capacity is smaller, its performance remains strong for the SUV size in its class.

Color And Price Choices

For color choice, the highest variant of Tiggo 8 is available in four interesting colors: Blue Saphire, White Economy, Black Platinum, and Grey Morganite. While the standard variant offers three color options: Blue Saphire, White Economy, and Black Platinum.

Regarding the price, Chery Tiggo 8 is estimated to be priced at around Rp430-450 million. Competitive prices for SUVs with the features and performance offered.
