Aito Launches Five-Seater M9 Bongsor SUV

JAKARTA - Aito, a Chinese vehicle brand in collaboration with Huawei, launched a five-seater variant of its flagship Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) model M9, which was previously present in a six-seater configuration.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Wednesday, September 11, this five-seater version of the Aito M9 comes on the Chinese market which starts from 469,800 yuan or around Rp1 billion.

Just like the six-seater variant, the Aito M9 five-seater is available in the option of Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).

In more detail, the EREV variant is available in two trims which are priced the cheapest at 469,800 yuan or around Rp1 billion. Meanwhile, for the BEV price, there is one option, namely 569,800 yuan or Rp1.2 billion.

There is no change in dimension for this five-seater variant, which has a length of 5,230 mm, a width of 1,999 mm, and a height of 1,800 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. The EREV variant is powered by 1.5T engines and double electric motors with a peak power of 165 kW in front and 230 kW behind. The powertrain allows vehicles to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.9 seconds.

The two EREV variants are powered by Li-ion ternary battery packages with a capacity of 42 kWh and 52 kWh, which provide a battery range of 225 kilometers and 275 kilometers each in CLTC counts.

In addition, the BEV variant is powered by double electric motors with a peak power of 160 kW and 230 kW each on front and rear motors, thus allowing vehicles to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.3 seconds.

For those who want this one model, the estimated delivery reaches 6-9 weeks after the order.

As is known, it was first launched on December 26, 2023, the previous Aito M9 was only available in a six-seat version with prices starting at 469,800 yuan (Rp1 billion). The presence of this five-seater variant is in an effort to expand users in the local Chinese market.
