Hyundai Officially Introduces Ioniq 5 XRT, Special Offroad Electric Vehicle

Hyundai is again increasing the version of its flagship electric car, Ioniq 5. After launching a high performance version last year, this manufacturer from South Korea presents an off-road-oriented trim XRT.

Launching from CarBuzz, Wednesday, September 4, Ioniq 5 XRT is positioned between its standard version with type N which is a high performance and is designed as a competitor to the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally in the United States (US) market.

In terms of exteriors, XRT has a more resilient appearance with a special bumper, sideskirt, and 18-inch aluminum rim wrapped in an off-road 235/60 tire. Overall, this car is suitable to run in the arena of all terrain rather than just walking on the paved highway.

The changes did not stop there, Hyundai also increased the ground clearance by 0.9 inches which pushed the angle of the approach up to 19.8 degrees and departure 30 degrees. Because prioritizing off-road capabilities, Ioniq 5 XRT also has a different suspension and is very pleasant to drive on land roads.

Moving to the inside, the crossover has an H-Tex seat with the 'XRT' logo and pattern with a black headliner.

The interior is also equipped with physical control for a positioned front seat on new mid-control found around twin cupholders along with wireless chargers for mobile phones.

The climate control section has also been redesigned, along with the steering wheel and the rear seat that has been equipped with a heating chair.

Not only tough, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT is also designed to provide top class safety for its users, consisting of Lane Following Assist 2, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Attention Warning, and many more.

Just like the facelift version of Ioniq 5 introduced some time ago, this car is offered with a battery that can cover a distance of more than 310 miles or 498 km in a single charge.

Another interesting thing is that Ioniq 5 XRT and other variants are now equipped with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) standard charging port, which means this vehicle can charge energy with Tesla's charging station.

However, there is no mention of the certainty of the price from this model and its launch date to customers. However, it is certain that the XRT version will be produced at the Hyundai Metaplant factory in Georgia, USA along with other variants.
