Xiaomi Showcases SU7 Electric Sedan In Paris, Will It Be Sold In Europe?

JAKARTA - A technology manufacturer that is now also involved in the electric car segment, namely Xiaomi, continues to introduce its first SU7 electric car to various countries, most recently present in Paris, France.

Quoting Carnewschina, Thursday, August 1, the presence of the Xiaomi electric sedan in Paris is part of a special Xiaomi exhibition entitled 'People, Cars and Homes Full of Ecology', and its presence attracts attention, especially since there is an Olympic grand event.

The emergence of an electric car with a futuristic design from Xiaomi raises a lot of speculation that the Chinese brand was about to enter the European market, carrying its first electric car model.

Responding to the many speculations, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also spoke up. He said Xiaomi would try to sell cars in Europe before 2030.

"We're targeting the top five in the world, so we'll be worldwide when the time is right," said Lei Jun.

It is still unclear when Lei Jun means, but it is not expected that in the near future Xiaomi electric cars will enter the European market.

As is known, Xiaomi SU7 has indeed become the world's attention and has been shown to the public several times outside China, especially in Europe it has also been displayed in Spain, and in India this car was also exhibited.

Selling Well In China

The first car from Xiaomi itself is classified as selling well in China, and even the company has increased production which shortens customer waiting time. During June Xiaomi has delivered more than 10,000 units of cars, and the annual shipping target is 100,000 units by November 2024.

Not satisfied with the electric sedan, Xiaomi also seems to have prepared various new models that will enliven the electric car segment, several times its latest model has been caught on camera testing the road and will fill the SUV segment.
