JAKARTA - Wuling presents various electric vehicle models at the GIIAS 2024 event, including two Air ev units that have been modified by the owner.

Wuling Air ev has successfully attracted consumer interest with aspects such as easy to drive and easy to personalize, which is now a trend among Air ev owners.

Dewangga Alam, one of the owners of Wuling Air ev, explained his reasons for personalizing.

"I did personalization so that my car was different and easily recognized without having to look at the police number. With personalization, I could immediately know this was my car," he said in an official statement.

Dewangga changed his Air ev color from pastel blue to a blue fetus, inspired by his childhood toys, Tamiya. He also changed the color of the headlights to blue to match the body of the car. In addition, Dewangga added a box on the right and left sides of the car that gave the impression that the car was wearing a headset, as well as bodykit and spoiler ornaments that increased the sporty aura.

"I chose the color of the junta blue because it was inspired by Tamiya. My childhood collected a lot of Tamiya, and the blue color was often on the toy," added Dewangga.

On the inside of the car, Dewangga changed the color of the seat to blue and black according to the theme of his car. This personalization not only makes the car unique but also creates its own identity when gathering with the community.

Functional Modifications For Daily Needs

Another customer, Sakura, also modified her Air ev. She changed the tire tread and added a rooftop to store more items. Sakura also added a compartment room in the middle that functions as a signature, as well as a USB port to charge the device battery.

"My air ev is actually used to pick up school children. With the modification of the tire tread and the addition of a roofbox, this car is now also comfortable for long trips such as Cikarang-Bandung," said Sakura.

The modifications made Air ev, which was initially thought to be only suitable for urban areas, can now be used for long-distance travel.

"This change makes Air ev more useful and in accordance with my needs," added Sakura.
