TANGERANG - In the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) introduced a model e:N1.
Confirmed by the company, this car was chosen as Honda's first electric car in Indonesia after going through various in-depth research.
Another more interesting thing is that HPM will launch this model in 2025 in the country. This is in line with the brand's vision which is in the period of electrification transition.
Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT HPM Yusak Billy, said that Honda electric cars have added value because they are designed on the experience of developing various technologies that have been carried out over the years.
"We are also conducting an in-depth study of the need and use of electric cars in Indonesia, thus offering a model that is really suitable for consumers in Indonesia," Billy said in his presentation at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday, July 18.

In addition to being the first in Indonesia, this HR-V model twin is also Honda's first electric car (EV) in the form of a Honda SUV in the world.
The manufacturer considers that Honda e:N1 is very suitable for various regions in Indonesia with various terrains. Even though it has the same design language as HR-V, e:N1 has a more futuristic profile with a closed Grill adorning the front.
Honda claims that e:N1 has a distance of up to 500 km in one charge originating from a 68.8 kWh battery. This car has a fast-charging capability of up to 50 minutes to charge to 80 percent.
The futuristic elements are not only displayed outside and technology, but also the interior which has 15.1-inch audio display and is equipped with 10.25-inch TFT meters on the driver side dashboard.
Honda e:N1 is nothing new in the Southeast Asian market. Previously, this model had been produced late last year in Thailand in early 2024.
This electric version of HR-V also existed in the European market in mid-2023 under the name e:Ny1 with similar specifications and designs like the Southeast Asian market.
