Subaru Releases Update On Toyota GR86 Twins, Driving Sector Is Better

Toyota has revealed an increase in GR86 in Japan. Meanwhile, Subaru BRZ, who is the twin of the model, also received changes to the Sakura State market.

Previously, BRZ also received an update with the addition of the ADAS EyeSight package last year, now Subaru is focusing on improving its handling so that this car can be better controlled.

Launching from Carscoops, Monday, July 15, the increase consists of an optimized damping setup with an electric power steering setup that is changed, offering sharper control without reducing the driving comfort side.

The increase in suspension is only applied to the Car Basic, R, and S trim Cups, because the mainstay of STI Sport still maintains the STI-tuned damping.

In addition, another novelty is the addition of the Sport Mode button on the center console. According to the manufacturer, this can increase the thrust response and optimize the volume of the Active Sound Control system in the cabin. This feature is devoted to the manual version.

On the other hand, the auto gearbox has been changed to allow manual gear movement at higher RPM, thus giving the driver greater control.

Visually, the only change is the implementation of DRL lights at all trims except for the Car Basic Cup. The interior is the same as before except for the latest Sport Mode button and sein lights.

Subaru did not bring any changes in terms of runways. This means that this BRZ is still equipped with a 2.4 liter naturally-assired boxer engine that produces the same power of 232 dk and a torque of 250 Nm.

This sports-style car is available for bookings in Japan at prices ranging from 3.322 million yen (IDR 339.4 million) in version R as the basis for manual transmission to the most expensive of 3.817 million yen (IDR 390 million) for automatic transmission STI Sport.
