Toyota Presents GR86 Special Improvement And Edition In Japan

JAKARTA - Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has just announced an increase in the GR86 model in Japan. The improvement in the car includes performance when turning and easier handling, thereby increasing GR's driving excitement.

Reporting from the manufacturer's official website, Saturday, July 13, the increase in GR86 is the result of input from professional racers who hone their vehicles on the race track.

The increase includes higher characteristics of shock damping and electrical power steering (EPS) control, modified throttle characteristics (for manual transmission), and extended engine speed tolerance ranges during gear displacements down (for automatic transmission).

The characteristics of shock damping have been improved to provide a better contact sensation with the ground while maintaining a distinctive direct control response to sports cars.

In addition, the characteristics of EPS devices are also improved in order to create more intuitive control and better response so that drivers feel and are directly connected to the performance of their cars.

The result is agile response performance without endangering steering stability, coupled with a better steering sensation at the upper limit of performance.

For manual transmission, control on engine torque has also been increased to make it easier for drivers to speed up their vehicles. In addition, the throttle is also designed to be more responsive, thereby increasing the ease of handling its performance.

Meanwhile, this high performance division also changed the range of machine speed tolerance as long as dental transfers were expanded to automatic transmission. Thus, this allows for more sporty driving.

In addition, Toyota also presents a special edition of GR86 called Ridge Green Limited. Unlike the standard version, this car is equipped with a Ridge Green color exterior with a touch of Bronze color on its rim.

The more special thing is that this edition is given a Brembo braking system on all four wheels with shock absorbers from the Sachs (ZF) specifically designed for performance.

The interior comes more luxurious with a touch of black color. This car also comes with an exclusive trim door with Tan's stitches on the steering wheel, backed doors, front seats, and a coupling pedal and braking.

The latest Toyota GR86 is offered in three variants, RZ, SZ, and RC at prices ranging from 2.936 million yen to 3.518 million yen (Rp299.7 million to Rp359.1 million) for manual transmission and 3.293 million yen to 3.616 million yen (Rp336.1 million to Rp369.1 million) for automatic.

Then, the Ridge Green Limited version is pegged at 3.897 million yen to 3.995 million yen (Rp397.8 million to Rp407.8 million). This special edition car is only available as many as 200 units and can be obtained through the lottery system.
