The Third Generation Porsche Panamera Arrives In The Philippines, Next Indonesia?

JAKARTA - Global debut at the end of 2023, the latest generation Porsche Panamera now greets the Southeast Asian (ASEAN) market. After Malaysia, the Philippines is the next destination for this model in the region.

Launching from Top Gear Philippines, Thursday, July 4, this sedan-style car was presented through the official local distributor Porsche PGA Cars and the company has opened an order period.

This third-generation Porsche Panamera looks newer and has a number of significant changes. Its exterior is decorated with LED Matrix headlights as a standard feature. The redesigned window line on the side display further strengthens the sedan character on the four-door sports car.

Focusing on the comfort side, this car is up to 5,052 mm long, 1,937 mm wide, and reaches 1,423 mm high.

The new pandemic has arrived with an air suspension from the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as a standard equipment. Two-valve technology separates the rebound and compression stages from the damping control and therefore offers a wider range between comfort and the impression of sporty.

The interior is decorated with a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster screen, which is combined with a 12.3-inch center touch screen. There is also a passenger touch screen of 10.9 inches, which is coated with a special film so as not to disturb the driver.

The driver will also be greeted with a tall center console that gives the cockpit to the plane. It extends back to give individual bucket seats to rear passengers.

For the Philippine market, this model can be configured according to individual specifications. Customers can add a certain number of options. Meanwhile, a premium sound system and power tailgate are also presented as the standard.

The German sports car manufacturer also added a Sport total package, a soft-close door, a seat that can be arranged for 14 directions, and a ventilated seat.

Just like the Malaysian market, Panamera specifications for the Philippine market are offered with a 2.9 liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine giving power reaching 353 ps and a 500 Nm torque coupled to a dual-clutch transmission system (DCT).

Thus, this Porsche Panamera can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with the highest speed of up to 272 km/hour.

The manufacturer does not want to disclose its official price, but it all depends on the options chosen by the customer.

It is possible that this model will spread across other ASEAN countries, including Indonesia. This is reinforced by Porsche Indonesia which wants to launch two new models at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on July 18-28.

"Later on at GIIAS, in addition to the EV line-up, we will present 911 GT3 of hospitals and Cayenne, as well as introduce two new models at the 7C hall location," said PR Associate Manager of Porsche Indonesia Valencia Maximilian, last June.
