JAKARTA Subaru Indonesia announced a collaboration with Garasi Drift by introducing Subaru Garasi Drift Team to be included in the South East Asia D1GP drift championship with the BRZ model known as BRZIKO in the Pro class.

The car has been built for six months this year and will debut at the South East Asia D1GP event on July 6-7 as well as part of the Indonesia Drift Series Pro 2024 competition.

Subaru Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Arie Christopher said that this car is very special because it is the only one who uses rear wheels (RWD) but still emphasizes the best relaxation balance accompanied by strong motorsport DNA.

"Collaboration with Garasi Drift is to unite two extraordinary personality so that they can work together towards one goal, excel in national Drift competitions and perform optimally in international events such as D1GP," Christopher said in his statement, Saturday, June 29.

BRZIKO is based on Subaru BRZ, which is the twin of the second generation of Toyota 86 introduced in 2021. This car is transformed into more aggressive and has a number of improvements from various elements.

Talking about its performance, BRZIKO is equipped with a 6-cylinder engine with a turbo alert with a lowboost system given special oil from Motul which can optimize the performance of this car in the drifting event.
