The Latest Generation Of Honda Freed Officially Launches, The Price Is IDR 250 Million

JAKARTA - After being officially introduced in May, the latest generation Honda Freed finally officially launched in Japan by offering two variants, namely Air and Crosstar.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Friday, June 28, this third generation Honda Freed has a larger size than its predecessor, now comes with a length of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,720 mm, a height of 1,780 mm with a wheelbase of 2,740 mm.

In design, this one car has a more modern look, from its smaller engine hood and is equipped with an LED light in the form of a trapium with two daytime running light (DRL) lines. Overall, Honda Freed comes with a simple design, and for the Crosstar variant looks more dashing thanks to different front grips, thicker bumpers, roofbars to more attractive rim designs.

Entering the cabin, this third-generation Freed offers comfort. For the Water variant, customers can choose between configuration six (2+2+2) or seven seats (2+3+2 layout), but Crosstar can only be owned with five or six seats.

The interesting thing Honda has to offer for this new generation is that there is a new dashboard that appears like in N-Box, meaning that the instrument cluster no longer exists and is replaced with a digital display.

This car comes with two different engines, the first featuring a four-cylindrical gasoline engine with a 1.5 liter L15D power which produces 118 PS at 6,000 rpm and a 142 Nm torque at 4,300 rpm. This i-VTEC DOHC engine is combined with a CVT that drives the front wheels, with the driving of all wheels being an option.

The other powertrain system is the double e: HEV Honda motorcycle with a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 1.5 liter LEB NA that produces 106 PS and 127 Nm power. The engine mainly acts as a generator for the 48-Ah lithium-ion battery, which then drives the electric motor installed in front with 123 PS and 253 Nm power.

Speaking of price, the manufacturer bearing the H logo offers the newest generation Freed the cheapest of 2,508,000 yen or around Rp256 million, and the most expensive touched 3,295,000 yen or around Rp336 million.
