JAKARTA - Lotus Emeya has been named the fastest production electric car with battery charging. The claim comes after the car was recorded to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 14 minutes.

From the beginning of Emeya's release, Lotus did promote the speed of charging time of the battery, where Emeya used 800V battery technology with Advanced Lotus Hyper Charging.

Meanwhile, specifications for the Emeya entry-level and Emeya S have not been announced, but are expected to be equivalent to the Lotus Eletre model. All variants are equipped with 102kWh batteries which officially generate up to 610 km of range.

Emeya will enter production later this year, with its first shipment to Europe scheduled to start this fall.

For the price of this luxury sedan in the UK, starting from 107,450 pounds (equivalent to Rp2.23 billion) for medium variant S cars and reaching 129,950 pounds (equivalent to Rp2.69 billion for the most powerful R model.
