Four Vinfast Electric Cars Land In The Philippines

VinFast, an automotive manufacturer from Vietnam, has officially strengthened its market in Southeast Asia by being present in the Philippines for the first time. The presence of this manufacturer also enlivens the electric vehicle (EV) market in the country with the capital Manila.

According to a report by Top Gear Philippines, Saturday, June 1, the manufacturer landed in the country by showing off four models, all of which are EVs, consisting of VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9.

The first is VF e34, which is a compact-sized crossover-style car. According to VinFast, this model is an electric vehicle that has affordable prices.

It is also mentioned that this model is the first vehicle with a chassis developed independently by this manufacturer. Equipped with a single electric motor, VF e34 has up to 148 dk of power and 242 Nm of torque driven front wheels. With a 42 kWh battery, this crossover can run up to 285 km in one charge.

Meanwhile, VF 5 is a medium-style subcompact crossover model. VinFast gave him an electric motorbike measuring 134 dk and a 135 Nm torque and a 37.23 kWh battery, so he offered a distance of 326 km.

Unlike the previous two models, VF 7 is one of the large-dimensional cars offered by this Hanoi-based manufacturer, Vietnam. In the Philippine market, it is likely that this SUV will be offered in two variants.

The two versions are a single electric motor with a magnitude of 174 dk and a torque of 250 Nm and a dual electric motor with an all-wheel drive of 349 dk and a torque of 500 Nm. Both offer each battery with a distance of 375 km and 431 km in one charge.

The last one is the top model of VinFast's ranks, VF 9. This premium-style car will be offered in two variants, the same as VF 7.

Both will offer double electric motors by driving all wheels with power reaching 402 dk and 620 Nm torque. The top variant will offer a battery with a distance of 602 km, but the basic variant is not yet known its range.

Currently, VinFast already has six networks of dealers that started operating this June. In the Philippines, the manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty for its vehicle.
