BMW Series 3 2025 Offers More Advanced Hybrid System

JAKARTA - During the 50 years BMW series 3 was BMW's flagship model in terms of sales or being a market leader in the premium segment in its class.

BMW has just announced specifications for the 2025 Series 3 model that received an update. In a BMW release, quoted May 30, the most important sales market for the new BMW Series 3 is China, Germany, the United Kingdom, and other European countries, as well as the United States. This is especially true for Sedan, while the Touring model is in great demand in Europe. Its distinctive design and more practical basic concept properties make this product also popular in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.

The BMW Series 3 sedan and BMW Series 3 Touring 2025 will be launched worldwide with the production stage in July 2024. Both models will be made at the BMW Munich Group Factory. The BMW Series 3 sedan will also be produced at the BMW San Luis Potosmen Group Factory in Mexico. Meanwhile, the new BMW Series 3 for the Chinese market will be produced at the Tiexi plant in Shenyang operated by the BMW BRilliance Automotive (BBA) joint venture.

Specifically, the BMW Series 3 plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) lineup has just brought electrification one step ahead and is available with a classic rear wheel drive option or BMW xDrive. The driving technology consists of a four-cylindrical gasoline engine and an electric motor integrated into an eight-speed Steptronic transmission, which produces a combined system output of 215 kW/292 hp.

New edition plug-in-hybrid representations from the BMW Series 3 offer greater efficiency and much further electric range. This is possible with a switch to a new high-voltage battery with usable energy of 19.5 kWh. This fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology product has a much higher energy density than the batteries previously mounted on the BMW Series 3 plug-in-hybrid model.

The new BMW Gen5 high-voltage battery represents a forward leap, bringing improvements in all technical statistics. The latest advances in battery technology open up greater space for a pure electric driving pleasure in BMW Series 3.

So now the BMW 330e Sedan electric range is 85'101 kilometers, then 81'96 kilometers for the BMW 330e xDrive Sedan, and 87'98 kilometers for BMW 330e Touring and 84'91 kilometers for BMW 330e xDrive Touring.

More advanced charging technology is also available to support three-phase air conditioner charging up to 11 kW, so this is the first time a fast charger has been available to PHEV from BMW. This allows the high-voltage battery to be fully charged from empty states within 2 hours 15 minutes.

In the interior, Series 3 2025 now uses the same latest iDrive 8.5 system as the electric BMW i5. This system allows wireless software updates and offers customizable widgets. The main display now always displays a navigation system.
