It Turns Out That BYD Dolphin Is A Lower Variant That Can Be Ordered In Indonesia, This Is The Estimation Of The Price

JAKARTA - BYD Dolphin is currently on sale in Indonesia and it is known that only the highest variant (extended range). However, it turns out that the lowest variant (Dynamic) of this car can already be ordered at the 2024 Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) exhibition. This was revealed by one of the sellers.

"The lower type can be ordered with a mark of Rp. 10 million," said one of the unnamed sellers, Thursday, May 2.

When asked about the price, the seller said that the price of the BYD Dolphin Dynamic variant was at IDR 375 million. This means that the difference is IDR 50 million with the highest variant (Premium) which touched IDR 425 million.

"If the estimated price is at Rp375 million, and the delivery is July or August," added the seller.

As previously reported by VOI, PT BYD Motor Indonesia's Head of Marketing Luther T. Panjaitan, revealed that BYD really understands that the lower variant (Dynamic) is very competitive.

"We understand very well that providing a lower variant is competitive, but actually for now more are interested in the high level (high variant)," he said, during the IIMS 2024 exhibition.

However, he did not elaborate in more detail on the launch of the lowest variant, but said it would be soon.

"It shouldn't take long to get into the lower variant," he added.

From VOI's monitoring on BYD's official website, two Dolphin specifications have been listed, where the Dynamic variant has a distance of 410 km, and the highest variant is 490 km.

Another difference is that the acceleration is also different for the dynamic variant 0-100 km 12.3 seconds, while for Premium 7 seconds, and the maximum power is Dynamic 70 kw and Premium reaches 150 kw.

"The distance is 410 km if the lower variant (Dynamic) is 490, and the other difference is that there is no panoramic (low variant) and single tone," concluded the seller.
