Chery Omoda 7 Officially Launches, Take A Peek At The Specifications

Chery continues to expand its car portfolio in China, most recently launched Omoda 7 which is included in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Monday, April 29, this one car comes with a sporty design that combines three main design pillars, namely dynamic, avant garde, and futuristic.

If you look closely, Omoda 7 has a striking design and attracts attention, thanks to the parametric grip that appears to be inspired by the RX Lexus, especially when there are some sharp curves that emphasize the impression of sporty.

Meanwhile, the back of this car is not much different from the Omoda 5 which has a coupe-like roof, and the elongated lights and are equipped with black accents at the bottom.

In terms of dimensions, Omoda 7 measures a length of 4,621 mm, a width of 1,872 mm, and a height of 1,673 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. In comparison, it is much larger than the Omoda 5 which comes with a size (length of 4,400 mm, width of 1,830 mm, height of 1,588 mm, wheelbase distance of 2,630 mm).

Entering the cabin, there are many interesting things embedded in Omoda 7, such as an easy-to-control steering circle, a gaming chair with luxurious stitches that shows the impression of sporty. In addition, there is a 15.6-inch infotaiment display.

Another interesting thing is that the 12-+2 speaker Sony audio system is also embedded, and the noise damping is claimed to be quieter. In terms of safety, it is also equipped with ADAS with 18 assistance features that provide user comfort.

Regarding the heart of the runway, this car carries a four-cylinder 1.5TGDi engine, paired with a plug-in hybrid system. The engine itself is claimed to have the highest thermal efficiency in its class of 44.5 percent, while the battery is capable of providing pure EV driving distance of up to 95 km.

In hybrid mode, this car is claimed to have a fuel consumption of 4.89 l/100 km, allowing a combined range of up to 1,250 km. Later there will also be a conventional version of the gasoline engine, and there will be no electric version like Omoda 5.
