Mitsubishi New ASX Officially Launches In Europe, Comes With Three Machine Options

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Motors made its debut for New ASX in the European market with several refreshes to the exterior, connectivity, to enhanced security and will be available in showrooms starting June 2024.

In an official statement received by the company, Thursday, April 25, launched in March 2023, ASX was a two-line compact SUV model and 5 passenger seats were developed with the CMF-B platform base supplied by Renault.

Speaking of change, it occurred at the front where New ASX had been redesigned to reinforce the design identity of Dynamic Shield from Mitsubishi Motors. The bumper center area has been fully black to highlight Dynamic Shield, and a three-dimensional satin silver motif, with a depth impression, which has been integrated into the grip to create a more dynamic and sturdy impression. Meanwhile, the LED front light blends the shape of L and gap, giving the impression that ASX is increasingly sophisticated and modern.

In addition, the new 18-inch black aluminum rim is designed with finishing of diamond pieces that are present to provide a sporty and powered look.

Entering the cabin, New ASX is now equipped with a smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) with a display measuring 10.4 inches. As well as equipped with Google Built-in 1.2 a connected service for cars, which makes it easy for users to access Google Assistant to make phone calls, send text, play music, make warnings, and control temperature, all of which use voice commands.

Regarding the heartburn, New ASX comes in full hybrid (HEV) models, mild-hybrid models, and gasoline models. The HEV model carries 1,600 cc gasoline engines combined with two electric motors (as alternaters and main motors), multi-mode automatic transmission, and 1.2 kWh batteries.

Meanwhile, the mid-hybrid model combines a turbo Direct Injection engine with a capacity of 1,300 cc with manual transmission of 6 accelerations or automatic transmission of dual-clutch 7 accelerations. Finally, there is a New ASX type gasoline engine, which is available with a turbo 1,000 cc engine and a manual transmission of 6 accelerations.

Mitsubishi New ASX will be produced starting next May at Renault's Valladolid factory in Spain. The marketing will start from Europe in June 2024.
