Toyota Launches Tacoma I-Force Max, Tough Hybrid Technology Pickup

Toyota has strengthened its commitment to environmentally friendly vehicles by presenting Tacoma in the United States (US) carrying hybrid technology or the name Tacoma i-Force Max.

Built on the TNGA-F platform specifically for large vehicles, this car offers toughness compared to the previous generation. Members of the frame are also strengthened to increase endurance. The new standard high-lifting jack point is also integrated to the end of the backbone.

Reporting from Toyota USA, Wednesday, April 24, Tacoma 2024 also brought a trim Trailhunter dedicated to traveling on the off-road track. This car also has a FORged Old Man Emu monotube shock, a low profile air entry channel in pillar A, and a 33-inch Goodyear Territory Terrain tire with 18-inch rim.

In addition, there were also LED fog lights that changed the RIGID Industries color and a silver Toyota writing grILL attached between the LED lights in front.

In addition to the Trailhunter, there is also a trim TRD Pro which introduces the IsoDynamic Performance on the front seat as the standard. The system is a water-over-oil shock damper that allows vertical and lateral seat movements simultaneously to help reduce body movement and stabilize the head and neck in order to stay parallel to the back of the seat.

For TRD Sport it has tunable suspensions so that it is more responsive. The off-road TRD variant is equipped with long-range reservoir shock damping of the monotube Bilstein for longer trips.

The interior is equipped with a number of advanced features, such as an 8-inch or 14-inch multimedia touchscreen screen and has been supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

In addition, there is a 12.3-inch digital cluster screen that has become standard on all the latest Tacoma trims. Features like the Smart Key System are also presented with push-button starts.

Safety technologies such as Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0 are also presented with several advanced functions to help drivers, such as Pre-Collition System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beam, and Protective Driving Assist.

For the engine, this Toyota Tacoma is given an i-Force Max 2.4 liter turbocharged engine with a 48 dk electric motor and 1.87 kWh NiMH battery which is the same as the latest Land Cruiser combined with eight automatic acceleration transmissions.

Thus, the pickup of this Tundra brother is capable of vomiting 326 dk of power and 630 Nm of torque. This machine is available in all the Tacoma i-Force Max variants, namely TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter.

This pickup will be expected to arrive at US dealer networks starting this spring and will be priced from 46,300 US dollars (approximately IDR 747.2 million).
