Mercedes-AMG Launches GT 63 S E Performance, Acceleration 0-100 Km/hour Less Than 3 Seconds

JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz launched AMG GT 63 S E Performance or the top version in the GT ranks as well as the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) system support. This car also uses inspirational technology from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 racing team.

Mercedes-AMG CEO Michael Schiebe, said the car is equipped with high-quality equipment and materials combined with powerful performances that make it ideal challengers for a number of supercars from rivals.

"This car has a four-liter V8 engine combined with a hybrid system, making this vehicle the top model in our GT family," Schiebe said on the company's official website, Monday, April 22.

The German manufacturer also presents hidden active aerodynamic elements that contribute to optimizing vehicle performance, one of which is the carbon profile that can react automatically down to 40 mm at a speed of 80 km/hour in order to reduce the lift on the front double.

In addition, another active component is a rear spoiler that can lengthen and integrate into a trunk cap. Its position can change depending on driving conditions. AMG GT 63 S E Performance adapts control software that modifies various aspects, including driving speed and elongated and lateral acceleration.

These two-door couplings have a composite brake system from AMG with a six-piston bronze cap on the front and a single piston floating Kaliper on the back. This is equipped with a 20-inch AMG light alloy ten aerodynamic bars.

The interior is equipped with an intuitive multimedia MBUX system featuring various things, including hybrid tuning. This exclusive AMG Performance item features visuals on the hybrid performance of GT 63 S E Performance, including speed, power, torque, and electric motor temperature.

Carrying an AMG 4.0 liter V8 biturbo engine combined with an electric motor at the back, produces a combined power of 816 dk and a torque of 1,420 Nm. Thus, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 2.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 320 km/hour.

The performance is supported by the 4 Matic+ all-wheel drive mover developed by the AMG division. Also presented is a lithium-ion battery pack whose technology was taken from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team team.

The battery has a capacity of 6.1 kWh that can charge in charging with a magnitude of 3.7 kW, so that it can run with pure power up to 13 km.
